Pheromone
Find Allergy Clinics »
This is a special type of chemical that a body secrets into the air around it in order to affect the behaviour or the actions of another individual. The most familiar use of this chemical is that of opposite sexes trying to attract one another. Bees are also known to use pheromones to attract other bees when they are swarming. If they are especially angry, they can use pheromones to attract other bees in order to help them fight off whatever it is that has disturbed them.
