Approximately 12 very fine injections are received per session over a small area. The amount of Botox actually injected into the body depends completely on which region is effected by the Hyperhidrosis and whether or not you decided to have the treatment bilaterally. No matter what however, a safe amount of the toxin will be injected.  Some clinics will offer a stronger dosage of Botox in order to maximise the effectiveness of the procedure. The common dose is reported as fifty units of Botox which can be injected into about 20 spots in each armpit. The injections usually take about thirty minutes and a six month course of Botox is commonly recommended in order to achieve the best outcome. No discomfort or pain is usually experienced.
