West Regent Street Clinic
Clinic Profile
The West Regent Street Clinic is one of few specialist hair recovery clinics across the UK. Based in the centre of Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, the clinic has provided expert hair recovery services including hair transplants and hair replacements for over 35 years. Drawing from the expertise of Dr Michael May, resident surgeon and president of the British Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons, the clinic is able to perform a variety of specialist procedures including cool laser therapy, non-surgical skin grafts, and cosmetic hair transplants.
The West Regent Street Clinic Surgeon
Dr Michael May, the West Regent Street Clinic's resident surgeon, is a well- recognised expert in hair recovery treatments. Part responsible for developing the follicular unit transplant that is commonly used in hair transplants today, Dr May continues to front research into new and improved hair recovery procedures. A founder and president of the British Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons, Dr May has successfully carried out over 8,000 hair recovery procedures and is one of the very few British professionals to have been examined and approved by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons.
Dr May and his transplant team work to offer male and female clients a variety of surgicall hair recovery treatments, treating conditions including alopecia, hair loss and more. Staff then advise treatment methods using skin non-surgical grafts, hair transplantations, light laser therapy and by applying professional hair re-growth products such as Trioxil.
West Regent Street Clinic Treatments & Surgery
The West Regent Street Clinic offer treatments that improve and restore the cosmetic appearance and quality of hair, and where possible, that prevent hair loss.
Surgical Treatments
The West Regent Street Clinic specialises in performing surgical hair transplants and skin non-surgical grafts. Hair transplants successfully redistribute hair follicles from the back of the head and nape of the neck to thinning areas at the front to permanently improve the cosmetic appearance of the hairline. Transplants are carried out following advisory and consultation sessions with the hair recovery experts at the clinic. Further, only two transplants are ever carried out on the same day ensuring high levels of clinical excellence.
Non Surgical Options
The West Regent Street Clinic offers non-surgical hair restoration alternatives including applying professional hair re-growth products such as shampoos and courses of laser therapy. These two treatments can also be used together to further improve the finished cosmetic hair result. The Clinic uses light courses of laser therapy to encourage hair follicles to re-grow. Using products and laser therapy is an alternative to surgery.
