Cost of Viagra

The cost of Viagra does vary between the companies which sell it. It is advised that if you have never used Viagra before you should buy only a single tablet to make sure that you do not suffer too severely from the side effects which it could potentially cause. On the other hand if you have used Viagra before and you are sure that the medication suits you then it is more cost effective to buy in bulk as the more you buy the cheaper the price per tablet.

Cost of Viagra on Prescriptions

If you are not eligible for Viagra on the NHS then you will instead be given a private prescription by your GP where you will have to pay the full price of the tablets without any discount. The price for a private prescription of four 25mg Viagra tablets costs around £16 and eight of these lower dose tablets can cost anywhere between £30 to £35. These prices are a little higher if you are advised to take the 50mg tablets, four of these tablets cost approximately £16 and eight around £35 to £40. Viagra is also available in a 100 mg tablet which obviously does cost more than the other options the prices for this tablet range from £23 for four tablets and £47 for eight.

If you are able to get Viagra on the NHS then you will only have to pay the standard prescription charges, unless you fall into one of the categories which exempt you from this charge. These categories include being 65 or over, having a psychical disability, if you suffer from certain health conditions like diabetes or if you are currently receiving cancer treatment.
