How much Pain will I be in after a Vasectomy Reversal?
Find Vasectomy Reversal & Vasectomy Clinics »
For the first few hours after the procedure you will still be recovering from the anaesthetic, be it general or local, and as such will not be in much pain as the scrotal area will be numbed. Once this wears off, however, the area will be sore and it is likely that you will require painkillers. You will also be given supportive underwear that will support the genitalia and ensure that any discomfort is kept to a minimum.
After a few days you ought to be able to control any pain or discomfort you are in with over the counter painkillers such as iboprofen or paracetemol. Within a few weeks the pain ought to have subsided.
