Cost of Dental Implants in Poland

Find UK Dentists »

Although the now-excellent standards of dental care on offer in Poland are reassuring, unquestionably the main reason patients seek dental implants here is the very low cost. Not only are flights cheap and quick but you can make massive savings across the board by selecting Poland as your destination for dental care. However, although standards are on the rise, this is not to say that there is a universal excellence of dental care. Some clinics may offer what seem to be dream-like prices, but you will be paying for inferior treatment. As the cost is generally so low it may well pay to find something about the average and research it meticulously, because you are less likely to be walking into a scam.

Price comparison between dental implant treatments in Poland and the UK

A typical dental implant from a UK cosmetic dentist will cost around £2000. However prices can run range from around £1500 to over £4000, depending on the amount of bone and gum grafting necessary to ensure success in the treatment, and you will have to pay a small additional consultation fee. These prices normally (but not always) include the cost of the crown. A dental implant in Poland, on the other hand, can cost as little as £750 without the crown. You will also have to fork out a certain amount of money, usually between £150-£450 depending on the type, for a crown. These prices should be taken as the bare minimum, and if you are offered cheaper alternatives you must be especially sure to investigate the clinic and dentist. Furthermore, prices will vary at different clinics, and if you require any of the complementary treatments you can expect to pay more (as would be the case in a UK clinic, a factor you must also consider).

How to find the right cost for your dental implant treatment in Poland

Before you can seriously consider receiving a dental implant from a dentist in Poland you should first pay for a consultation from your UK dentist. This will allow the UK dentist to make an estimate of the cost of the treatment for you as an individual. You can then ring up and enquire the cost of the same treatment from any Polish dentists you are considering and make a balanced comparison between the two. Although generally the procedure will work out somewhat cheaper in Poland, it can sometimes pay to make sure, and you are certainly better being safe than sorry. Finally you must weigh up all the costs, including accommodation, the price of the procedure, and travel, and you may well find that you have a suitable plan for a cheap and quick journey abroad for the treatment that you want at a decent price. One final consideration, if you decide to fly over, is the proximity of the accommodation and clinic to the airport, and any transport in between these you will need to pay for.
