Results of Alli Weight Loss Pill

Alli has been known to produce good slimming results, and its stronger version, Xenical, is routinely used to help the obese lose weight through a prescription.  Orlistat, the active ingredient in Alli, has been proven to be effective, and generally in the form of Alli, will help most dedicated people to lose around an additional 2lbs for every 5 you would lose naturally.  This has led to an average of 5-10 pounds being lost in 6 months, although every person is different and you could lose more or less than this depending on your body’s reaction to the drug.

A lot of the evidence used to support Alli and its results comes from studies done on its active ingredient Orlistat in the drug Xenical.  Alli itself has very little statistics, and is still a relatively new drug.  However, Orlistat has been shown to help reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, reduce blood pressure and help people to lose weight.  In trials done of Orlistat 1/3 to ½ of the people studies lost around 5% of their body mass within a year, thus dropping their BMI, (body mass index), and helping them to lose weight.  It is likely that Alli, which is basically a half dose of Xenical with the same active ingredient, would also be shown to create a similar effect.
