Moulds include a category of living organisms that can be identified by the fact they grow by way of something called multi cellular filaments. This means that they do not grow as a particle but more as a network of crisscrossed fibres called hyphae. Each hyphae will have an identical genetic makeup in its nucleus to each of the other hyphae in the network or the colony (as it can also be called). Moulds can play a role in setting off an allergic hayfever response if your immune system is sensitive to the various types that can be found in the atmosphere. They prefer warm, moist places so bathrooms and kitchens can be areas to pay special attention to. Moulds are also responsible for various illnesses, food spoilages, and biodegration.
