Processed Foods & Dieting
Processed foods are energy dense foods that require only light chewing. They are more likely to be overeaten than other kinds of food. People who eat many processed foods are more likely to be fat, they are less likely to lose weight on a diet, and they are more likely to put the weight back on when their diet ends. This advice tells us that processed foods, especially refined sugar and white flour, are the most common causes of obesity.
