Pre-payment Prescriptions

You will have to pay the average prescription charge for the Viagra drug unless you fall into one of the categories which exempt you from this. The price of a prescription starting from April 2009 is £7.20, for a 12 month pre-payment certificate it will cost you £104 or £28.23 for a pre payment certificate which will last three months.

The pre payment prescriptions may work out cheaper for you if you have to pay for a lot of prescription and it could help you to get your drugs and medicines at a discounted price. If you are unable to afford these prescription costs then the NHS can help you. For example if you are on a low income you may be able to quality for some discount if you fill in HC2 certificate or the HC1 form which is available at Job centre plus offices or your local NHS hospital.
