Bright Light Therapy

Bright Light Therapy is often used for those who suffer from Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder. The therapy involves an exposure to bright light in a morning to try and induce wakefulness into the patient. As the patient will be suffering from delayed sleep due to an unsynchronised body clock, this therapy tries to influence the body clock by exposing them to light in the morning and darkness at night. The patient will be kept away from any light during the evening and will sit for up to one hour in the morning in front of a bright light.
