Romford is a large town in London's northeast, about 14 miles away from the central Charing Cross and with a history as a busy market town. Since its shift towards industry the town has become extremely well supplied with road and rail links that have fuelled Romford's development. The town has been a part of Greater London for over 50 years and is one of the biggest entertainment and commercial areas outside central London. The trust provides artificial insemination with NHS funding to patients up to the age of 39 with a BMI of between 18 and 30. The trust's PCT limits the number of insemination cycles available to a maximum of three. The method of insemination used is intrauterine insemination (IUI), which has an established success profile across the country as an extremely effective form of insemination. The fertility unit also provides sperm assessment and washing services on top of a drug induced ovulation treatment to complement and increase the chances of a successful insemination.
