Current Medication

If you are currently taking medication for any of the below you should also not undergo treatment with the Boots Smooth Skin system

  • Cancer
  • Depression
  • Heart disease
  • Hormone problems

Past Medication

If you have taken any of the following medications, or are still taking them, in order to treat acne or another type of skin condition


  • Adapalene (Differin) in the previous three months.Oral Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) within the preceding six months  before treatment with Boots Smooth Skin
  • Minocycline or other tetracyline-based medication within the preceding three months before treatment with Boots Smooth Skin
  • Topical retinoids such as Tretinoin (Retin A) or Isotretinoin (Isotrex) within the preceding three months before treatment with Boots Smooth Skin

In Addition

If your Boots Smooth Skin system lamp requires renewing ,you will need to purchase an additional handset from a Boots store or their website. You should also visit the Boots website if require additional Activator Gel or if you require any additional information about the Boots Smooth Skin system.
