Cost of Dental Implants in India

India has become a major centre worldwide for dental treatment in general, due to the superior quality of treatment its clinics and dentists can offer, and, even more attractive to the potential customer, the extremely low prices you can have the procedures done for. The only concern with having dental implants in India is the cost of flights from the UK, for accommodation is also cheap, but usually with a bit of forward planning it is possible to get cheap flights and ultimately make a decent saving overall on the price of the same procedure in the UK.

Price comparison between dental implant treatments in India and the UK

Although prices of dental implant treatments in the UK can realistically be anywhere from about £1500 to £4500, usually you will be expecting to pay around £2000 for the procedure. The variation usually depends on the extent of complementary treatments (such as bone and gum grafting) you have to undergo, and usually include the cost of the crown or denture (of course you must find out whether or not this is the case in getting a quote yourself). By contrast, dental implant treatments in India can cost as little as £190 (and, at a push, even less). This is one of the biggest bargains in the entire world, and is scarcely believable when contrasted with the excellent reputation Indian clinics have for quality. Of course, usually such prices do not take into consideration the cost of the crown, but this will nearly always also be extremely cheap (costs will be more if you are opting for a specific, top-end denture). If you do get quoted a price below this, you should be doubly sure to investigate the credentials of the clinic and dentist, but it is certainly not impossible that you can get excellent treatment for an even lower cost.

How to find the right cost for your dental implant treatment in India

As you will almost invariably find the price of treatment in India to be vastly lower than anything you get quoted for the same procedure in the UK, the only real consideration you will have to bear in mind is the cost of flights and accommodation. Make sure you first phone around to get quotes from your UK dentist (and if you wish, other UK dentists) and then prices for the same procedure from all the clinics in India in which you are interested. Then you can tally up all the costs you will have to pay for a medical holiday to India, and contrast this with the overall cost of the UK treatment. It is still quite likely that it will work out cheaper overall, but even if it does not you may wish to consider the holistic experience and the advantage of being in India for the duration. Make sure you remember that, unless you discuss and opt for immediate loading, you will have to make two trips there and back. Advance booking will likely make these costs comparatively low, however.
