Norethisterone is a type of synthetic progestogen hormone which mimics the natural female sex hormones that are made in the body.

Therefore, stopping you period and decreasing the risk of pregnancy.

Also, Norethisterone decreases the amount of oestrogen and progestogen produced, which can reduce the production of several hormones which contribute to the menstrual cycle by affecting the pituitary gland.

How do I use Norethisterone?

Norethisterone is taken as an oral tablet usually once a day at the same time each day. You can take it with or without food, but it is most helpful to take it will a glass of water as you must swallow the pill whole. It is important to take the drug regularly as it will increase your benefit of using it. If you happen to miss a dose, you must not skip it, but take it as quickly as possible near the time you were meant to.

How do I store Norethisterone?

It is important to store Norethisterone in the correct manner in order for the pills to be in the right condition for use. You must store it in a place which is below 25 degrees Celsius and out of direct sunlight.
