The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. BAPRAS was formed in 1946 and was initially known as the British Association of Plastic Surgeons.
The continuing aims of the organisation include the highest standards of patient care, consistently high rates of success in cosmetic procedures and promoting and developing advances and improvements in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic cosmetic surgery.
It is advisable to investigate whether or not your potential surgeon is a member of BAPRAS; membership of such an accredited organisation is a good indicator of the quality of your surgeon.
