Also known as ‘minimal invasive surgery,’ this involves very small incisions with a scope or camera being inserted into the body in order to diagnose a problem.  This usually can then be treated using the insertion of small surgeons tools into the incisions, thus reducing the amount of scarring.  This type of surgery is generally used for low-key cosmetic surgery, for example to tighten the abdominal muscles in a very minor tummy tuck.
