Does having a labiaplasty hurt?
Find Cosmetic Surgery Clinics »
You will experience some pain, although the amount is very much variable from woman to woman. The surgery itself will not hurt, as you will be under either a general or a local anaesthetic. Afterwards you will be in some pain, making sitting uncomfortable, for a few days but you will be given painkillers to help you control this. After this, it might take a couple of weeks for you to be completely comfortable without the use of over the counter pain medication. A full recovery from a labiaplasty takes two months, although most women find that they can return to work, and are comfortable, within 10 days.
