Is a vaginoplasty painful?

All women are different when it comes to the pain they experience and the healing time after having a vaginoplasty. Your genital area will be sore for a few days after the surgery, and you surgeon will give you pain medication to take to help alleviate this. After the first few days the pain will start to subside, although you might still want to take some over the counter pain relief for up to a couple of weeks after having your vaginoplasty. Once the wound has healed there ought to be no discomfort at all.
