Your surgeon may ask you to wear the garments for a period of several weeks to ensure that your scars have healed properly. The amount of time that you will have to wear the abdominal compression garment for will obviously depend on the severity of the procedure. You may even have to wear different types of garments throughout the different periods of your recovery process.

The abdominal compression garments used after the tummy tuck procedure are quite expensive as they often consist of two or more garments. You may even be required to wear a half body suit to support the whole stomach area, and this will again be an extremely pricey addition to the total cost of your surgery.
