Anagen Stage

The human body has a natural hair growth and loss cycle, which follows three stages in a cycle.

The first stage is the Anagen stage.  In this part of the cycle, cells divide and move into the upper section of the hair ‘bulb’.  At this stage the cells are dead, but importantly, they are longer and bigger than in their previous state.

The Anagen stage of the hair growth cycle tends to take between two to seven years.
