Mid-Forehead Brow Lift

The mid-forehead brow lift is used for people with significant brow ptosis. This operation requires an incision and removal of skin across the forehead, below the hairline, thus making it more visible. Usually scarring will try to be hidden amongst deep furrows and wrinkles in the skin of the forehead, and for this reason patients with such features will be chosen for the procedure. The incision will often be placed within one such furrow to avoid and great scarring, and will, in effect, replace the furrow. Another technique to lessen the effect of scarring would be to use two separate incisions, one above and one below so that there is no one single horizontal line.

Post-Operative Care

After the operation is completed your wound will be dressed and an antibiotic ointment applied to stop any infection.
