Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) Results
Due to the fact that you will be awake during your procedure (under local anaesthetic) you will be able to view the results of your DHI procedure as they are created during the procedure. This will allow you to voice any concerns with your DHI transplant team if it looks as though the results that you expected are not being created.
The results of your DHI procedure will be immediate due to the fact that the hair is removed from one area of your body (where you have hair) and implanted into your balding area during the procedure itself (so you do not have to wait for any hair to grow). When you walk out of the clinic after you procedure you will immediately have a reduced bald area and you will only be wearing a small bandage (if any at all).
In some cases you may require more than one session of DHI in order to create your final result. This is because a single DHI procedure can move around 6000 hairs, and if your expected result requires the movement of more than 6000 individual follicles, you will require more than one session.
After Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) & Recovery
Immediately after your DHI procedure you will probably feel a little tired from your local anaesthetic (unless you choose to nap during your treatment). You will leave the clinic with either a small bandage covering your scalp, or without any bandage at all.
You will probably be able to go back to work and resume all your normal activities by the next day depending on your body’s natural recovery process. If you are unfortunate enough to experience swelling after you DHI procedure then you may find that you need to give yourself a little bit longer to relax before resuming any highly energetic activities or wearing any tight fitting head gear.
Natural Results with Direct Hair Implantation (DHI)
Due to the nature of the implantation device used during your DHI procedure your implanted hairs will be placed at exactly the same angle and direction as the rest of your hair. This will leave you with a completely natural result where your implanted hair will blend in perfectly with your natural hair providing you with a natural result.
